Hoover High School Artists Advance to State-Level Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition

Hoover High School is proud to announce that three standout student artists have been recognized in the prestigious 2026 Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition, representing our region of Ohio with distinction.
Following a rigorous initial jurying process, the work of Ella Kamyszek, Teagan Murphy, and Ava Skolnik has officially advanced to the state-level competition. These students will now compete against more than 5,000 high school entries from across the state for a chance to be featured in the final exhibition.
“We are incredibly proud of these artists for their dedication and creative vision,” said Chris Triner, Hoover High School Art Instructor. “Advancing to the state level of this competition is a testament to their hard work and the strength of our visual arts program.”
Students who earn top honors in this annual event will have their work showcased in Columbus at the James A. Rhodes State Office Tower. The exhibition is scheduled to run from April 12 through May 15, 2026.
We congratulate Ella, Teagan, and Ava on this impressive achievement and wish them the best of luck as their work moves forward to the final round of judging.
