Hoover High School is proud to announce that Troy Seacrist has qualified as a National Merit Semifinalist! Over 1.3 million students in about 20,000 high schools entered the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2024 PSAT. Only 16,000 (about 1%) students across the nation qualify to be a Semifinalist. These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million that will be offered next spring.

Dorian Draper, Ethan Kolts, Lucas Reed, and William Wright have qualified as a National Merit Commended Student! Only 34,000 (about 3%) students across the nation qualify to be a Commended Student.
