North Canton Receives High Marks on Ohio School Report Card

The state of Ohio released its local report cards for all 607 school districts and for all 3,318 individual school buildings. The report cards provide an overall rating from 1 to 5 Stars (in half-star increments) for each district or school. That overall rating is arrived at by providing a component rating from 1 to 5 stars (in whole Star increments) in each of the following six areas: 1) Student Achievement, 2) Student Progress, 3) Gap Closing, 4) Early Literacy, 5) Graduation, and 6) College, Career, Workforce, & Military Readiness.
There were 47 total districts in the entire state earning a 5-Star overall rating with none of the 17 public school districts in Stark County earning such a rating. However, North Canton was one of only three school districts in Stark County to earn an overall rating of 4.5 Stars and has the highest overall rating points total in Stark County.
