TOPICS TO COVER WITH STUDENTS

Although there are many benefits associated with a one-to-one initiative, there are also potential dangers that must be addressed with students to keep them informed and safe as they navigate a digital world.  We provide many lessons to students throughout the grade levels to support safe and responsible technology use and we encourage parents and guardians to discuss these topics at home as well.

App Guides and Reviews for Parents

Google offers an interactive site called Interland that features a game in which students navigate a virtual world by correctly answering questions about internet safety.

Another website with valuable resources to aid in these discussions is https://www.commonsensemedia.org/

Parents can find more detailed information about a variety of topics by visiting commonsensemedia.org/articles
