Greentown Bids Goodbye to Principal Capper

North Canton, OH (May 7, 2015)

Roman Capper, current principal at Greentown Intermediate School, announced yesterday that he will be leaving North Canton City Schools at the end of this school year. At their Board of Education meeting last night, the Copley-Fairlawn City Board of Education approved the hiring of Capper as the principal of Arrowhead Primary School, effective August 1, 2015.

Capper will be moving to the school district where he lives.

“I am so excited to be closer to home,” he said. “And maybe even have my own child in my school at some point!”

“At the same time, it’s bittersweet,” he noted. “I’ve met so many wonderful people and families here. I will miss all the relationships I have built as well as the caliber of educators I’ve worked with at North Canton.”

“We appreciate the ten years of excellent service that Roman has given to North Canton City schools,” said Superintendent Michael Hartenstein. “We wish all the best for him and his family.”

Capper’s resignation will be on the North Canton City Schools Board of Education May 20th meeting agenda.
