North Canton, OH (September 10, 2015)

Hoover High School Principal Tony Pallija announced today that Trent Cash and Libby DiLauro have been named Semifinalists in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Competition.

Out of the 1.5 million students that took the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), Cash and DiLauro are two of only 16,000 students to earn a qualifying score and advance to the National Merit Semifinalist Scholarship Program.  Cash and DiLauro will compete with other semifinalists for National Merit Scholarships.

“We congratulate our students on their National Merit achievements,” Pallija said.  “We are very proud of them!”
