Roden receives Lifetime Achievement Award
At the annual Education Celebration Monday night, former NCCS Superintendent and current board of education member, Dr. Bob Roden, received the Lifetime Achievement Award. A retired educator, Dr. Roden worked as a teacher and principal in Canton City Schools as well as North Canton City Schools, where he also served as the superintendent of schools. Dr. Roden was an Associate Superintendent at the Stark County Educational Service Center and Canton City Schools and Interim Superintendent in various Stark County districts. In addition, he was Principal at Hartville Elementary School and Dean of Students at the Portage Collaborative Montessori School.

Dr. Roden has helped with 3rd/6th grade leadership development at Portage Collaborative Montessori School, and he serves on the CHARACTER COUNTS! Committee in North Canton. He volunteers as a pianist for the residents at House of Loreto nursing home and an organist, a pianist, and a choir member of his church. Other activities include dog therapy at Aultman Hospital, Stark Parks Trailblazer and North Canton Public Library Board.
