Carole Vesely, MA, LSW, will speak Thursday, February 1, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the middle school auditorium. She will be speaking on the topic of depression in teens. Carole is a crisis counselor at the Crisis Intervention and Recovery Center in Stark County. She also serves as a member of the Stark County Suicide Prevention Coalition. Since 1999, she has served as the consultation, education and prevention manager for the crisis center. Throughout her career, Carole has been committed to educating the community on the risks of depression and help others know how to take preventative measures when dealing with this condition. Both middle school and high school parents and teens are invited to this presentation. Carole will then be available for consultation and questions after the presentation from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. Also, parent educational materials will be available.
