We will be hosting a Veteran's Day Assembly on Monday, November 12 at 9:00am. At the program, we will have various musical performances, an address by Representative Thomas West, and recognition of veterans. Students are welcome to invite a veteran to attend the assembly. We ask that the Google Form is completed by Friday, November 2 so we can make arrangements for our guests. Students are also welcome to provide a photograph of a veteran in their family/life to be displayed in the school the week of November 5-9. These will be uploaded via another Google Form to be displayed in the Welcome Center. During the week of October 29-November 2, as a school we will be collecting money for Honor Flight. If you are not familiar with Honor Flight, please watch this video. This program provides funding for veterans to go to Washington, D.C. for the day to see the memorials that have been resurrected in their honor.
We are proud to honor our heroes that have provided us the freedom's we take for granted!

In conjunction with Red Ribbon Week (October 22-October 26), we want to make our community aware of another initiative, Take Back Drug Week. In cooperation with North Canton Police Department, our district would like you to know that there is an official drop off box located at the North Canton City Hall 145 N. Main St., (Enter parking lot off Ream Ave. NW for entrance to City Hall/ Police Department) North Canton, Ohio 44720. During this week, please take the time to dispose of your expired and unused prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications and properly dispose of them at the drop-off box. The drop off box is accessible(24/7) and is located inside the back door of city hall and the police department. Any medications can be dropped off except liquids. This is the only exception. Research shows that early experimentation and abuse often happens with medications that are available in your own home. Please use this week as an opportunity to have conversations with your children and limit accessibility by disposing unused medications. North Canton School District wants to work with all our parents to keep our students healthy, safe and drug-free!
North Canton Middle School is uniquely equipped to help our students transition from early childhood with the skills and knowledge to face the challenges of teen life. Our staff and programs are selected and directed to carefully and competently set the stage for the next level of “growing up.”
As an integral part of one of the best school districts in Ohio, we are “middle” in terms of geography but certainly not in education. We are located in the heart of North Canton, just behind the scenic city square near the YMCA and iconic Hoover District. The North Canton Middle School introduces sixth- to eighth-graders to today’s workplace skills while strengthening their fundamentals. Our students are immersed in a learning environment designed to develop critical skills such as collaboration, decision-making and entrepreneurship.
