AKA: Design Techniques
1 Period / 1 Credit Course
Offered to 8-11 grade students
Students will learn techniques for transforming photographic images, through use of digital cameras, computers, and mobile devices. To accomplish this, they will learn software photo editing techniques including layering, color correction, masking, and special effects using current commercial and open source programs and applications.
Interactive Media 2
AKA: Creating & Editing Digital Graphics
1 Period / 1 Credit Course
Offered to 9-11 grade students
Students will learn to design, develop, and produce interactive media projects, web sites, and social media contexts. Students will demonstrate methods of creating professional quality media using commercial and open source software with an emphasis on the principles of design.
Interactive Media 3
AKA: Interactive Application Dev & Web Design
2 Period / 2 Credit Course
Offered to 10-12 grade students
Students will learn skills to support and create interactive and engaging components for web and standalone interactive applications. Using commercial and open source programs and the Adobe Creative Suite CS6, students will experience web interactivity with advanced techniques. Students will also learn the dynamics of the Web environment while pursuing an in-depth study of both Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
