Welcome to Room 101, The BeeRoom! My name is Sonya Cobb and, I am a First Grade teacher at Greentown Elementary. We currently have 21 students for the 2010-2011 school year. We have 11 boys and 10 girls. What an exciting year first grade is. It's full of new friendships as well as a variety of learning experiences. There's no other place that I'd rather be! This is my ninth year teaching for this wonderful district and my second year here at Greentown. I previously taught kindergarten for five years and worked as a Title I reading teacher for two years.
Personally, I am married to a very supportive husband and have three amazing children of my own. My daughter, Lauren just graduated from Jackson High School and will be attending Kent State University in the fall. I have another daughter, Emily who is a junior, and a son, Nathan who is a seventh grader. My children keep me busy as a beewith their many sports and activities. Family is very important to me, and we try to spend as much quality family time together as we can!
My goal is to help my students strive to be the best they can be! Meeting their needs is my main concern. If you need to contact me or have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail. I will respond back as soon as I can. Have a great day!
