Hello and welcome to my homepage! My name is Kelly Monroe and I am one of the Reading Intervention Specialists for grades 1 and 2 at Greentown Elementary. I taught 6th grade Reading on Team 6 Orange my previous two years in the district. I have a beautiful energetic daughter named Madeline who is 3 1/2 years old. I graduated from Hoover in 1997, Ohio University in 2001 and completed my Masters in Education in 2005. After graduating from Ohio University, I moved to Columbus where I began my teaching career. I taught 3rd grade for six years. I am also the 8th grade Cheerleading coach. GO VIKES! My goal is to help my students build their reading skills. I will do this through a variety of different strategies because my students read at a variety of different levels. I am looking forward to sitting down with my students in a small group setting to listen to them read and see them grow on an individual basis.
