NCMS is not currently doing a full-scale pilot of BYOD like Hoover High School. However, if your child has your teachers' permission to bring an electronic device to class, there are opportunities where that is acceptable. If you are interested, please download and print this form. If the statement is acceptable to you, please sign the form and have your child sign it. If your child's teachers approve, then they will sign it and the form will be kept with your child's teacher homeroom teacher. Your child will not be allowed to have their device at school if his or her teachers do not have this form on file.

Again this year, North Canton Middle School has a 2-hour delay schedule in place should the district elect to use a 2-hour delay for circumstances like inclement weather. If you are alerted to the fact that the district or our building is operating on a 2-hour delay, your child should arrive at school 2 hours later than normal. This means that if the bus normally picks your child up at 6:50am, he or she will be picked up around 8:50am on a delay day (the bus garage recommends being ready for the bus at least 5 minutes early, however). If you normally drop your child off at the school at 7:10am, please drop him or her off at 9:10am. The NCMS school day will start at 9:30am on a delay day and will still end at 2:35pm. Students will still have all of their academic and exploratory classes and will still eat lunch at approximately the same time. As a reminder, if you have younger children who attend an elementary school, their daily schedule remains the same as there is no delay in the start of their school day.
