We are pleased to announce that the Pinnacle Internet Viewer (PIV) is ready for use for the new school year for grades 3 through 12. The PIV is a web site that allows you to access your student's records in real-time. You can use the PIV to review attendance information, check overall academic status, and see detailed grade information for specific classes in which your student is enrolled.
Please note there are several important differences concerning the PIV for this school year. Each is explained below:

Over the summer the county office upgraded to the latest version of Pinnacle, which requires users’ passwords to be eight characters long. However, most North Canton students have passwords that are only seven characters long. Therefore it is necessary for us to give new passwords to any North Canton student who still has a seven character long password. Instead of giving out completely new passwords, we are simply adding the number “1” to the end of any password that is currently seven characters long, to make it the needed eight character length. For example: Cat3Dog would become Cat3Dog1
If a student already has an eight character long password (such as Cat3Dark) there will be no changes to the password. These new passwords will go into effect at the start of the school year and will apply to the following services:
- Logging into school computers
- Accessing M:Drives
- Logging into all Google Apps services (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar)
- Logging into the Pinnacle Internet Viewer (PIV)
If a student does not remember a password from last year, please contact a school staff member for assistance. |

Our district is always looking for ways to increase communication between school and parents. Email is an excellent method of communication for many reasons:
- Many parents have email accounts.
- Email saves money by cutting down on postage.
- Email saves resources by cutting down on paper.
- Email saves time since information can be sent to large groups of parents very quickly.
Our district would like to begin using email as much as possible in place of printed materials.
- Email could be sent to groups, such as all the parents of a particular building or a specific grade level or for just one classroom.
- Our schools could email newsletters, flyers, announcements, and reminders.
- Staff could also use parent email accounts to communicate with individual parents as needed.
For this to happen, we need to collect email addresses for all the parents in our district. To help collect parent email addresses, we have put together a very simple online form. Please click the link below to fill out the online form and submit your email addresses. For each child you have, you may submit one or two parent email addresses. If you have more than one child, you will need to complete the form again for each child.
Thank you for helping us collect this information. We truly believe this will help our district communicate more efficiently and effectively.
